Virtual Tour of Pompeii
Below I've included some brief videos of reconstructed virtual tours of different parts of Pompeii. Watch them, and see if you can pick out the features we've studied in each.
Analysis Questions for each video
1. In what ways is the video useful for a historian or student of history?
2. What problems of bias and perspective do reconstructions such as these present for the historian? Give specific examples of biases or problems from the video/s.
3. Assess the reliability of these interpretations of how Pompeii may have looked. Give reasons for your conclusions.

Hypothetical reconstruction of the Pompeian Forum.
Whilst watching, see if you can pick out the buildings in the Forum, such as the Capitoline Temple, Macellum, Eumachia Building, Temple of Apollo, Basilica, the admin buildings/curia etc.
Take a brief tour of the Temple of Isis of Pompeii in this hypothetical reconstruction.
